The Velvet Toothbrush brings highly refined design and high end technology to your oral care routine.

The typical toothbrush only has about a thousand bristles to scrub the teeth, yet the Velvet Toothbrush has 13,000 ultra-soft, finely frayed filaments. Ultra-thin CUREN filaments are densely bundled on an angled compact brush head, and the bundled and frayed filaments hug the teeth and gums and deftly draw away dental dross, bacteria, and biofilm.

This is the best brush ever to use for the preferred tooth-blotting technique. The blotting technique uses a dabbing motion (in lieu of the traditional brushing motion), which draws up oral debris away from the teeth and gums and into the brush head. The frayed ends of the filaments reach under the gum line, behind teeth, and in every tiny oral crevice for the deepest and gentlest clean.

The Velvet Toothbrush is awesome for all mouths, including children too. It is also the ideal brush for aggressive brushers, for those who tend to use too much pressure, or for sensitive teeth and gums because the velvety-soft filaments gently glide over gums while effectively clearing plaque.

Tooth Blotting Technique

Tooth Blotting is an oral care technique that is super gentle and cleansing for the gums and gum line. This toothbrush and the blotting technique can be used for steps three and four in the 8 Steps of Successful Self-Dentistry.

If you have ever blotted your face with a tissue, then you are already familiar with the dabbing motion to be used in this technique. Place the brush head upright in the mouth so that half of the filaments are on a tooth and half on the gums and dab a few times. Then move the brush to dab the front and back of the tooth. After repeating this over a small area of the mouth, rinse the brush head, dab another small section of the mouth, and repeat. After all the teeth and gums have been blotted, blot the tongue, cheeks, and the roof of the mouth, and then swish with a salt water or baking soda water solution and/or one of our Swishing Serums.

Velvet Toothbrush Care

Rinse the brush with water and let air dry (use the storage cap for travel). Once or twice a week, dip the filaments in diluted hydrogen peroxide for a deep clean. For best results, replace the brush every month.
