THE SCIENCE OF THE SEAL: LUSCIOUS LIPIDS

To maintain the integrity of the epidermis, keeping the skin breathably sealed is the key to a lifetime of beautiful skin. The skin’s outermost layer is a living, hydro-lipid barrier, a delicate ecosystem of beneficial bacteria and protective fats that comprise the skin’s innate immunity. When this seal is compromised by synthetic foamers, fillers, and microchemical disruptors, the microbiome matrix and sebaceous balance becomes askew. It is the secret of the natural seal that imbues the skin with dewy vitality.

Chocolate Best Skin Ever is formulated as a replenishing biological restoration. While many “beauty” moisturizers use petroleum-based and soy-based occlusives that act like liquid-plastic-wrap, Living Libations luscious lipids are a layer of breathable beauty. Our foundation of Jojoba and Cacao-infused Coconut is synergistic with sebum and seamlessly seeps in with the addition of bioactive Rose, Lemon, Ylang, Carrot, and Vanilla, bringing a chorus of catalysts to the complexion.

This is the "Science of the Seal": replenishing the tissue with bioactive molecules that reinforce the skin’s natural moisture-mantle. Whether you are bedewing your face or anointing your body, you are applying a sanctuary of nourishment that honors the skin’s breathability while sealing in hydration.

Chocolate Best Skin Ever also operates on the principle of "like dissolves like." By washing with soothing, cacao-infused lipids, you effectively lift debris and oxidized sebum while simultaneously replenishing the tissue with bioactive molecules. Foaming cleansers are not needed; they are engineered to strip the skin, devastating the protective hydro-lipid barrier: the delicate seal of moisture and beneficial bacteria that comprises the skin’s innate immunity. This is a total biological restoration that renders a multi-step, synthetic routine obsolete. It is your cleanser, your exfoliator, and your nourishing moisturizer, a sublime substance that graces the face and bedews the body from head to toes.

"I saved the Chocolate BSE as the last one I wanted to try. I love the smell and the feel. This is a great one to have, so we don't have to reach for artificial products just for the luxury of smelling beautiful." — PG

SEAL + REVEAL: HOW TO USE

Whether you are seeking a facial radiance or a glowing body finish, the protocol is a simple three-step ritual:

1. Prime: Dampen a small portion of a face cloth or organic cotton round with water.
2. Cleanse: Apply 1–2 squirts of Chocolate Best Skin Ever to the dampened portion of the cloth. Massage over the face and neck. The oil binds with debris while the cloth provides a perfect polish.
3. Seal: Rinsing is optional. If your skin needs more moisture, massage another squirt onto the skin to lock in the "chocolate cashmere" finish.

Versatility for the Entire Body

Chocolate Best Skin Ever is a multifaceted masterpiece that delights every skin type and a fun aroma that is enjoyed by the whole family. From baby skin care to after sun care, these luscious lipids offer a total-body moisture mission:

Decadent Body Oil: Apply to damp skin after a bath or shower. As the water and oil join, they provide a light emulsification and total super-saturation, leaving the skin feeling like chocolate cashmere.
The Sun-Kissed Savor: This is a superlative choice for after-suncare. The natural pigments of the raw cacao help preserve and enhance the appearance of melanin, giving sun-drenched skin a vibrant, bronzed glow while the antioxidants provide a moisture-rich recovery.
Glossy Hair Mask: Run a few squirts through your hair and leave overnight (or for 20 minutes) for soft, supple, chocolate-scented locks. It’s also a beautiful "frizz-tamer" for the ends of the hair.
Family Fun: Babies and children adore the "warm-cookie" scent of this pure, edible-grade formula. It turns a toddler’s post-bath routine into a sensory delight.
The Delectable Lip Scrub: Mix a squirt with a pinch of raw sugar to polish and plump the lips. The cacao and vanilla provide the flavor, while the jojoba provides the silk.
For Men: Men adore this as beautiful aftershave or beard oil. It smoothes the appearance of razor-redness and leaves the face feeling sated and smooth.

ALL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS

Jojoba Oil - Simmondsia chinensis
As the golden foundation of the Chocolate Best Skin Ever, Jojoba quenches and conditions the skin with a molecular structure that mirrors human sebum. Differing from all other plant lipids, Jojoba oil is a liquid plant wax composed of long-chain linear esters, making it the most skin-congruent lipid in the plant kingdom. It is rich in phenolic compounds, phospholipids, and all forms of vitamin E (tocopherols) that provide a structural, breathable barrier. Jojoba has an unparalleled ability to unplug pores by dissolving hardened, oxidized lipids, while its native ceramide content reinforces the skin’s moisture seal to soften the texture into perfect silk. Its high concentration of eicosenoic acid ensures it acts as a stable, bio-available shield that carries the luscious molecules into the skin.

Virgin Coconut Oil - Cocos nucifera
Our pure, pristine Virgin Coconut oil satiates the skin, offering a manna of moisture and resilience. In our Chocolate Best Skin Ever, this oil serves as the creamy, lipid-rich cradle for our raw cacao infusion. Unlike refined oils, our raw, organic, virgin extract is rich in lauric acid, an antimicrobial medium-chain fatty acid that serves as a natural defense. While industrial myths often label coconut oil as comedogenic, its high stability and antibacterial profile actually serve to soothe atopic dermatitis and protect the moisture barrier. It smoothes the appearance of fine lines while fortifying the skin’s innate immunity, leaving a "juicy" finish that glows with goodness.

Cacao Beans - Theobroma cacao + Cocos nucifera
Chocolate is the "Food of the Gods" for your skin. We slow-steep raw, organic cacao into our Virgin Coconut oil to create a sumptuous, antioxidant-rich matrix. This chocolate-cashmere infusion is a juicy dermal delicacy, intensely moisturizing and smoothing. Polyphenols offer sweet restoration to thirsty skin, while the natural pigments of the raw cacao leaves the skin looking vibrant and delectably glossy.

Vanilla Bean Infusion - Vanilla planifolia
Velvety Vanilla is the ambrosial anchor that brings out the best chocolatey-aroma. Raw, organic vanilla beans are soaked in golden Jojoba for several full moon cycles until the opulent essence and soothing nature of vanilla fully saturates the lipid matrix. This traditional infusion results in a heavenly oil that exudes a heart-warming sweetness. Far beyond a simple scent, this infusion provides a calming, "soul-soothing" finish to the skin, making the Chocolate Best Skin Ever a favorite for evening anoints and bedside beauty rituals.

Rose Otto - Rosa damascena
Resplendent Rose Otto is the distilled "Heart’s Halo" and the beloved skin-salve of antiquity. As the "Rosy-Quartz" of this formula, it offers an elegant, alchemical synergy that enhances dermal resiliency and elasticity. Redolent in fragrant floral alcohols and over 300 molecular compounds, it acts as a timeless tonic for cooling the appearance of redness and soothing the skin. As 17th-century physician Nikolas Culpeper wrote, Rose Otto "helps strengthen the heart, physically and emotionally," a resilience that reveals a quintessential chocolate-rose glow.

Ylang Ylang - Cananga odorata
A tropical "kiss-of-bliss," Ylang blossoms are steam-distilled to produce an exquisitely cheerful fragrance that benefits the skin as a benevolent balancer. This essence softens the skin with a sweet-ester elixir of geranyl acetate, paired with the soothing sesquiterpenes of germacrene D. As a skilled seboregulator, Ylang balances oil production in all skin types, quieting overactive pores while balancing dryness. This essence blesses the cheeks with a smooth, velvety finish, inviting the skin's innate radiance to come out and play. Lemon Oil - Citrus limon The "Citrine Spark" of the formula, Lemon adds a zesty spark of levity and purifying pleasantries. Brimming with gamma-terpinene, it acts as a gentle tonic to bring brightness and balance to the complexion. In the context of Chocolate Best Skin Ever, it provides a "lemon-meringue" lift that cuts through the richness of the cacao, exhilarating the senses and inviting even skin tone.

Carrot Seed - Daucus carota
Clarifying Carrot Seed, distilled from wild Queen Anne’s Lace, is the "complexion choreographer" that anoints the skin with replenishing grace. It is scientifically distinguished by its high concentration of carotol and daucol, rare sesquiterpene alcohols that act as molecular messengers. These constituents harmonize the skin’s natural regenerative rhythm and support the appearance of textural renewal. It functions like "living lace" for the face: delicate in feel, yet incredibly strong in its ability to fortify the lipid barrier and smooth the architectural landscape of the skin.

CHOCOLATE BEST SKIN EVER FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Is Coconut Oil Comedogenic?
The concern regarding coconut oil stems from a single 1989 study involving rabbit ears where fractionated oil was applied for two weeks. However, this is a flawed and outdated reference; rabbit ears are hyper-reactive and a poor proxy for human skin. Furthermore, the "Scale of Comedogenicity" is not an FDA standard. Big Industry uses this make-believe scale to prioritize refined, bleached, and deodorized (RBD) oils like mineral oil, a colorless byproduct of petroleum distillation that acts like "liquid plastic." While mineral oil is chemically inert, it sits on the surface like plastic wrap, suffocating the microbiome. In contrast, our pure, raw, Virgin Coconut Oil is lavish in lauric acid and naturally antibacterial. When formulated within the elegant lipid-matrix of Chocolate Best Skin Ever, it serves to cleanse pores and seal the lipid barrier alongside Jojoba—a lipid that mirrors human sebum and unplugs pores by dissolving oxidized debris. For those with specific coconut sensitivities, we offer coconut-free formulations of Immortelle, Jasmine, or Sandalwood Best Skin Ever.

2. Can I use Chocolate Best Skin Ever as my primary face wash?
Absolutely. Chocolate Best Skin Ever is a sumptuously sensory delight and while super moisturizing it also works with the fundamental principle that "like dissolves like." The luscious lipids of cacao-infused coconut and jojoba effectively lift makeup and debris while nourishing the skin. However, if you are navigating a specific "skin reset" for acne, rosacea, or flare-ups we recommend a facial reset classic like our Rose, Seabuckthorn, Immortelle, Frankincense, Neroli, or Sandalwood to do the heavy lifting. Once your skin is balanced, Chocolate BSE is the perfect, decadent ritual to maintain that dewy, "chocolate-cashmere" glow.

3. Will the chocolate in the formula stain my skin or my clothes?
No. The raw cacao paste we slow-steep into our oils provides a translucent, glossy glow rather than a heavy pigment. It acts as a sheer "botanical bronzer" that helps preserve the appearance of melanin and gives the skin a vibrant, sun-kissed finish. Once massaged into damp skin, the oil is absorbed fully, leaving only a delectable scent and a shimmery glow. As with any high-quality oil, we recommend allowing a few moments for absorption before dressing in delicate silks or white linens, but for most, it is simply the "secret sauce" for a perfectly bedewed, radiant complexion.
