ALL ORGANIC INGREDIENTS
Jojoba Oil - Simmondsia chinensis
Glorious, golden Jojoba quenches and conditions the skin with a molecular structure that mirrors human sebum. Differing from all other plant lipids, Jojoba is a liquid plant wax composed of long-chain linear esters, making it the most skin-congruent lipid in the plant kingdom. It provides a structural, breathable barrier that is ideal for baby skin, which is thinner and more permeable than adult skin. Its native ceramide content reinforces the moisture seal, ensuring the skin remains sated, soft, and silk-like.
Virgin Coconut Oil - Cocos nucifera
Our pure, pristine Virgin Coconut oil offers a manna of moisture and resilience. Rich in lauric acid, a medium-chain fatty acid that is also found naturally in mother's milk, provides a stable, soothing layer that shields the moisture barrier and smoothes the appearance of skin, making it a "must-have" for a baby’s daily dermal defense.
Vanilla Bean Infusion - Vanilla planifolia
This is the heart and soul of Jai Baby Joy. We soak raw, organic vanilla beans in golden Jojoba for several full moon cycles until the opulent essence and soothing nature of vanilla fully saturates the lipid matrix. This is a pure, traditional infusion rather than a concentrated CO2 or absolute, resulting in a heavenly, velvety oil that exudes a warm, ethereal sweetness to soothe little beings and new parents.
Lavender Oil - Lavandula angustifolia
Lovely Lavender is a botanical lullaby. Its very name is an ancient invitation, derived from the Latin lavare, meaning "to wash." In Roman baths, Lavender cleansed both body and spirit as this essence was known as a purifier of senses and skin. The phytochemistry of Lavender is a masterclass in gentleness, steeped in the soothing synergy of soft, skin loving linalools and linalyl acetate. These esters and monoterpenols act as molecular harmonizers, known for their agile ability to quiet and quell. Lavender’s molecular melody is a gentle-yet-hearty skin tonic that returns the skin (and spirit) to a place of purified peace.
Lemon Oil - Citrus limon
Lemon adds a spark of levity and purifying pleasantries. Brimming with gamma-terpinene, it acts as a gentle tonic to bring brightness and balance to the formula. In the context of Jai Baby Joy, it provides a "lemon meringue" sweetness that lifts the spirits of the entire family while remaining gentle enough for the most sensitive newborn skin.

JAI BABY JOY: THE FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Is Jai Baby Joy safe if my baby licks their skin (or my face) after application? Yes. Jai Baby Joy is a pure, botanical infusion of organic, food-grade ingredients: infused Vanilla beans, Jojoba, and virgin Coconut, Lemon, and Lavender. Like all of our Living Libations creations, it contains zero synthetic fragrances, petroleum by-products, or harsh preservatives. It is quite literally a manna of moisture that is as pure as the being it was designed for.
Why does the vanilla in Jai Baby Joy smell so "real" compared to other vanilla products? Most vanilla scents, from candles to cremes, are concocted from synthetic vanillin. This is a monomolecular mimic, isolated from petrochemicals like guaiacol, paper mill waste (lignin), or even fermented through bio-engineered yeast and E. coli. While it smells sweet, it is a phantom-molecule that is devoid of any beneficial phytochemistry. More importantly, these synthetic isolates with artificial fixatives are less than ideal on the porous, permeable skin of a newborn babe. Living Libations also offers a 100% pure, concentrated Vanilla essence for creating blends, culinary creations, and perfumes, yet for our Jai Baby Joy, we use the traditional infusion method. By soaking raw, organic vanilla beans in golden Jojoba, we gently capture the aromatic complexity of the bean. This slow maceration pulls the lipophilic heart of the vanilla, including the aromatic resins, fatty acids, and botanical waxes that an alcohol extract would miss. This results in a "warm-cookie" aroma that is soft, safe, and soulful for baby’s skin.
Why is an oil blend better for my baby’s skin than a standard baby lotion? Standard lotions are primarily composed of water, oils, and wax, with additional synthetic emulsifiers and preservatives. These additives can disrupt the delicate, developing microbiome of a newborn. Jai Baby Joy is pure lipid jubilance. Formulated with pure ingredients and the silken ceramides of Jojoba that are synergistic with sebum, it provides a natural, breathable shield without the need for a single chemical stabilizer.
