Nerolina from the land Down Under is a sweetly-scented oil distilled from the leaves and young stems of an Australian evergreen shrub known as the Paperbark Tea Tree or Melaleuca quinquenervia. The Nerolina shrub is strong and resilient; it is one of the first plants to return after a wildfire. It grows wild in tropical wetlands, though our eco-conscience distillers grow it organically on plantations.

Nerolina is in the same botanical family as Tea Tree, and the sweet notes of flowers and a woodsy base are reminiscent of its cousin, Niaouli. In Australia and the South Pacific, Nerolina Essential Oil is often combined with Tea Tree Essential Oil to mediate Tea Tree’s stringent scent and to double the cleaning and freshening power. It is also applied to children’s scalps to avoid the pesky little hair and scalp invaders common to kids.

Nerolina’s essence is aroma-therapeutic and skin therapeutic. Its central components, alpha-pinene and linalool, can lighten your load, encourage relaxed deep breathing, dispel blue moods, and ease heated tempers and skin. Nerolidol is a super-skin friendly terpene that encourages smooth, firm skin, and because of it, the whole oil absorb in a flash into the skin.

Nerolina can be applied neat or combined with a carrier oil as a luxurious skin emollient.
