The reassuring and rejuvenating aroma of Poplar Balsam Essential Oil was first used by westerners who encountered Native North Americans in Canada. The elixir was given as a peace offering, and it reminded the Europeans of the Balm of Gilead of biblical fame. Poplar Balsam is also referred to as Canadian Balm of Gilead, as it is completely reminiscent of the ancient aroma even though this particular species of tree has no scientific ties to the Middle East.
Poplar Balsam Essential Oil is known to improve the appearance of scars and relax redness. This sweet, wood-scented resin is an aromatic woodland beauty perfect for perfumes and colognes. With a few drops of our Poplar Balsam Essential Oil, you may notice that breathing becomes a joy.
"Listen what the poplar-tree and murmuring waters counseled me."
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
