Heaven-scented Sandalwood essence is organically harvested and steam distilled from the heartwood of the aromatic tree. The Sandalwood tree grows for 30 years before it begins producing oil, so each bottle of luxurious Sandalwood Essential Oil is at least three decades in the making.
Sandalwood is one of the most important ingredients in ancient perfumes and soothes sensitive and dry skin. It suffuses with magnificent moisture and historically has been used to cool and satiate hot and dehydrated skin. Scientific studies reveal that monoterpenes in Sandalwood Essential Oil are beneficial for toning the skin and especially the stratum corneum, which explains why Sandalwood has been a staple of natural hair and skin care since antiquity. Soothing Sandalwood, sacred for thousands of years, hastens the appearance of skin restoration, fades melasma, and reduces the appearance of scars.
This ancient, amorous aromatic also contains a botanical pheromone similar to androsterone, the underarm pheromone secretion that acts as a sexual signal. This makes it a dashing deodorant that is super effective by simply applying a drop to charm each armpit. Our Sandalwood Essential Oil calms as it revitalizes, energies as it balances, and creates an overall feeling of celebrating delectable beauty.
"Sandalwood's calming, harmonizing, and balancing effect acts like deep slow waves."
~ Suzanne Fischer-Rizzi, The Complete Aromatherapy Handbook
"The essential oil (of sandalwood) is a common ingredient in exotic perfumes and colognes, with a history of 4,000 years of use. In many tropical places, women mix sandalwood essential oil with coconut oil and rub it into their hair for a beautiful shine and fragrance."
~ Brigitte Mars, Beauty by Nature
"Avicenna wrote that the scent of sandalwood "heals passions of the heart and doth exhilarate."
~ Julia Lawless, Aromatherapy and the Mind
"The scented oil obtained from sandalwood has many important cultural associations and applications. The yogis maintain that sandalwood is the 'scent of the subtle body', and in tantric practice it is used by males to awaken kundalini energy and transform this into an enlightened mind."
~ Jennifer Peace Rhind, Fragrance and Wellbeing
"A fragrance that stretches out to the universe, into the hallowed space between heaven and earth, to contact the divine presence. Sandalwood brings our wisdom into a meditative state, quietening us so we can hear and rejoice in the choral singing of the universal soul.
~ Valerie Ann Worwood, Aromatherapy for the Soul.
