Resplendent Ruh Gulab Rose Otto is the soul-scent of Rosa damascena. Rare Ruh Gulab brings both the parfum-bling of Rose absolute and the skin-bedewing generosity of all Rose ottos.
This rosiest Rose, is prepared with such care! Each rare and delicate drop is deftly distilled by traditional craft. In the zenith of growing season, roses are plucked at dawn and distilled as the sun rises as the fragrance wanes from the petals as morning blooms. This ancient Indian method distils in the field using an alembic called Deg-Bhapka, in which a copper kettle deg is filled with aromatic flowers, sealed with mud, and placed over fire. As the vessel warms and the petals break down, the fragrant steam travels through a bamboo pipe called a Bhapka into a collection vat where it cools, and once it is separated from the rosewater, an exquisite essential oil results from the thousands of slowly distilled rosy blooms.
